Many Nigerians expressed their love and compassion for the police officer notwithstanding that the police don’t particularly enjoy much public goodwill.

Police officers are people sons, brothers, father. God will heal him.

I really hope @jidesanwoolu sees this. Whoever did this doesn't only need his license revoked but should be arrested and jailed on a long term.
This is someone's father. He's on the street not only to provide for his family but also to protect his community.
This is annoying.

This is barbaric ! Even if the police piss people off most times doesn’t mean we citizens should start acting like rogues too. This is somebody’s brother, uncle, husband, friend here !

Police PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin expressed his displeasure about those who failed to sympathize with the injured officer.
35 mins and just 7 retweets.
Flip this, let it be a police van involved in hit and run and watch the retweets increase exponentially.
Same way the many daily good deeds of the police are shunned, giving the false impression it’s all about negativity and mediocrity. https://t.co/gPTuY1SH9n
