2nd Legal Clinic: Capacity Building Programme for Law Undergraduates

The 2nd edition of Stephen Legal’s Legal Clinic: Capacity Building Programme for Law Undergraduates held on Tuesday, 9th July, 2019 at Ayo Ajomo Hall, Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS), UNILAG.
The Programme is part of Stephen Legal’s mentoring objectives for young people, especially law undergraduates, to empower them with relevant information needed in a society of limited job opportunities and highly competitive legal industry. The idea is to build on the wonderful academic job being done by seasoned academics in the Faculty of Law.

We thank the amiable Dean, Prof. Ayodele Atsenuwa, Dr. Simon Akaayar (Staff Adviser, Law Students Society) and the entire Faculty of Law for hosting the event and for the huge support.

This year, just like the maiden edition, we assembled distinguished personalities, both within and outside the legal profession, who are quite passionate about capacity building and passing on the touch of excellence to young ones. This can reasonably account for why they chose to spare some time from their extremely busy schedules to share memorable moments with the students, seeking to positively influence their future. We sincerely appreciate –

Mr. Oluwakemi Balogun SAN, Principal Partner, Oluwakemi Balogun, LP.
Mrs. Chinwe Odigboegwu – Senior Commercial Legal Manager, Guinness Nigeria Plc (Diageo).
Mr. Kazeem Tewogbade, MD/CEO, Bluechips Technologies Ltd.
Mr. Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, Partner, Sofunde, Osakwe, Ogundipe & Belgore (SOOB Law), Chairman-elect, Nigerian Bar Association (Lagos Branch).
Pentho Elizabeth Whesu, Associate, Banwo & Ighodalo.

We thank the students, young lawyers and other guests for their cooperation and for making themselves available for the Programme. We also thank our media partners and Nobilis Solicitors for their support.
